I’m From brand review
I have been dying to talk about this on my blog and I hope that you would check out this brand because of their amazing philosophy and transparency for ingredients.
I’m From created products following with certain ingredients found right in South Korea, where it first started.
I tried a few products, and just from using them for about a month, I have fallen in love with them and cannot wait to order more!
Rice Toner
Rice is known to be brightening and moisturizing and have been used by Asian cultures for hundreds of years.
Grown in Yeoju, South Korea contains more fiber than other rice, and the location of growth has made the rice contain more moisture. They use the Gaomi Extract from the rice.
I’m From is very up front and transparent about their concentrations of ingredients. In the Rice Toner, they use 77.78% of the Gaomi Extract.
This rice toner in my opinion is such a beautiful first step after cleansing. I usually use it in the morning as it instantly gives you that bright and awake look to your skin.
From the first application my skin lit up and I love using it! I can definitely see a difference in my skin since from just using it for two weeks.
It hydrates my skin and is light so that for those who do not like too heavy of skincare in the morning- it’s perfect.
Mugwort Essence
Coming from Ganghwa, South Korea, mugwort has been used for years. Being rich in vitamins and minerals that help with fatigue.
This formula contains 100% mugwort extract. They used Slow Release Extraction to get the best out of the mugwort.
Mugwort is known to be calming to sensitive and troubled skin, and can help soothe red spots or skin heat.
The texture is a little viscous and absorbs into the skin very well.
I started using this toner about a month ago and love how soothed my skin has felt instantly. When I started using it, my skin was getting clear, but still was very red and inflamed and I found that this essence CHANGED THE GAME. I cannot stress enough how calming and hydrating this essence is.
If any of my acne-prone or sensitive skin people need a recommendation for a essence- this would be it.
Mugwort Mask
Just like the Mugwort Essence, this is grown in Ganghwa, South Korea. The mask contains 2.1% of mugwort. This mask helps calm down skin, while also hydrating the skin, leaving it cool and calm.
I have always struggled with red and irritated skin, especially when I was on my medication for my acne, my skin freaked out and would be red 24/7. There was not many products that my skin would like. I saw from the first use of this mask, my skin felt amazing and calmed down for sure. I use this mask on the regular and find it is the perfect mask for when my skin is either a little irritated from the climate or products that I use.
Honey Mask
I think out of all the products that I have tried from I’m From, this one was one I was not wowed by. I think it definitely would be better and more beneficial for those with dry skin. I find that I lean more on the combination skin type, as well as dealing with dehydration, acne-prone, and sensitive skin. (kinda sucks I’ll be honest) So I find I look for masks that are lighter in consistency, and have more of a watery base. This honey mask definitely is thicker that I imagined, but I feel that if you struggle with dryness, this would be a great mask.
Containing 38.7% of natural honey from Mountain JRI, Korea. This mask is targeted to provide a solution for stressed out skin, as well as sensitive skin.
I found that my skin felt supple and moisturized after using it. My skin was not red or irritated after use. I think it did amazing things for my skin, I think I just prefer a lighter consistency to my masks.
This mask can actually be used up to one hour! That’s 60 mins! I was actually very curious if the mask would not turn weird or move around a lot on my face if I left it on for a long time. I left it on for about twenty-five minutes, and it felt amazing. I have not been able to carve out enough time at night to leave it on for a hour, but let me know if you had and how your skin felt. Because I bet it would feel great!
When it comes to skincare, I have a few things that I really want out of my products. They work effectively, they are not too expensive (or just worth the money) the brand has a goal in mind with their products, and the ingredients are safe and go well with my skin concerns.
I was so excited to receive my package in the mail with all my goodies, and originally I got all mini/trial sizes because I did not want to spend all the money if I found I did not like the products. But now, because I liked them all- I ordered all of them in their original larger packaging.
I would highly recommend these products as well as this brand. I love how they chose to use nationally grown plants and ingredients to optimize skin health. I definitely want to try more from their line, and hope to do another one of these reviews.
