Best cleansers for every skin type and every season

I think a lot of people believe that using good products and doing all the right things are the way to healthy skin, and when those are good things, I have found that if you are not cleansing correcting, there is no use to everything else.

Like in my double cleansing post, I want to reiterate that cleansing is the first step to remove all the makeup, dirt, sweat and sebum from your face throughout the day. I think the cleansing step gets overlooked very often, and I believe it is a big part in why my skin is healthy and happy.

Here are some of my recommendations for cleansers!

Dry-Normal Skin:

-Troiareuke P.I.T Cleansing Milk

Creamy, and light on the skin, I wasn’t really sure if this cleanser was going to actually remove any dirt, sebum or makeup off my face. When using this, you are supposed to apply it on your skin for two to five minutes and then remove it. Which to me, feels like it is a mask, but when removing the cleanser my skin felt smooth, clean and balanced. I really love using this cleanser with the rest of the Troiareuke line, and highly recommend it!

-Tatcha The Rice Wash

Cream cleanser that at first feels like it would be an exfoliating face wash, quickly becomes a creamy and soft cleanser that washes away any makeup residue, and day off. I loved this cleanser during the colder months and love how amazing my skin feels after this.

Acne-prone skin:

- Cerave Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser (4% benzoyl peroxide)

This cleanser was recommended to me by my dermatologist when I first went to start medication for my acne. I really loved this cleanser, and even when I had dry skin from my medication, this cleanser did not dry my skin out. Now that I am off my medication, I still like using this cleanser especially now with the summer weather, my skin is getting a little more oily.

- Caudalie Vinopure Pore Purifying Gel Cleanser

Containing salicylic acid, it helps to clean pores, and leave your skin less shiny over time. I liked using this cleanser during the summer months because of the fact that it also helped with my shine control. I always want to point out that if any product has an active ingredient in it, to be careful out in the sun, and to make sure you are hydrating your skin properly after as well.

Oily-Normal Skin:

- Round Lab Dokdo Cleanser

Fluffy and cloud like, this cleanser foams gently to cleanse the skin. It removes dirt and sweat, and doesn’t make your skin feel dry or tight after. This cleanser works great on its own, as well as the second step in a double cleanse.

- Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser

A gentle foam cleanser with a PH of 5.7 that can leave the skin barrier undamaged. I love this cleanser because of that fact that it is so simple and works great in the morning as well as in the evening as a second step in your double cleansing routine.
