New Products I’ve been trying

I cannot believe it is already August! This summer has flown by, and I have been trying out a few new products these last three weeks, and wanted to give my thoughts on what I have tried.

Cleansing Balms:

- Elf Holy Hydration! Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm: I do not often reach for cleansing balms, because I love cleansing oils, but I wanted to try a few because I see many people moving to cleansing balms as a first step in the double cleanse. The first time using this balm, I instantly fell in love with this cleansing balm! Immediately when applying it to my face, it turns into an oil, and breaks down makeup, and oils on the skin. I have been using this for the last two weeks and enjoy this balm just as much as my cleansing oil.

- Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm: I picked up this cleansing balm as well, and the only thing that bugged me about this balm was the fact that it has a strong scent of eucalyptus. I just can’t get past the strong smell. Being that I have sensitive skin, immediately I felt like I had to wash it off very fast. If you have sensitive skin, or are sensitive to scents, I wouldn’t recommend as this can be a lot for some people. Besides the scent, I liked the formula, it removed makeup and dirt off my face, and left it feeling clean.

Cleanser:

- Naturium Fermented Rice Enzyme Cleanser: I was super excited to try this because I was hoping it would be similar to the Tatcha Rice Wash, which from the last three weeks that I have used this (obviously not everyday use) I think I found a similar product for less money! The texture of this cleanser is amazing, it glides onto the skin, and the micro-powders help any dead skin cells fall off easier. I enjoy using this cleanser using twice a week, depending on how my skin is feeling at the moment. Highly recommend as a second step in your double cleanse!

Sheet Mask:

- Abib Crème Coating Mask Cooling Solution: In the summer, I am always looking for a way to cool off after a day in the sun, or just a hot day whether I am inside or not. These masks have come in handy, and I love how you apply this mask, because it comes in two separate sheets. The top half and bottom half come separate, which is convenient for those who can never find a sheet mask that fits their face completely. This sheet mask is suppose to lower the skin temperature to soothe skin, and with lowing the skin temperature, can help the skin absorb the agave extract, which helps moisturizes the skin.

Moisturizers:

- Abib Hydration Gel: Containing meadowfoam seed oil, which locks in moisture, and moringa oleifera seed extract, to soothe inflammation and as well as hydrate the skin. This gel moisturizer is great for those who, like myself, needs some hydration, but is also often times oily (especially in the summer). This lightweight gel locks in moisture and leaves skin looking plump and can prep the skin well for makeup as well!

- Naturium Plant Ceramide Rich Moisture Cream: Moving on to night moisturizers, this is another love of mine from Naturium. Containing plant-derived ceramides that protect the outer barrier of the skin, and can soothe dry skin.I think this is a great moisturizer, especially if you are on a budget. I love that Naturium is wallet friendly as well!

Have you tried any of these products? Was there any that you loved or didn’t love?
